Metal-Expo 2011, the 17th International Industrial Exhibition, was held on 15th to 18th of November at exhibition halls 69 and 75 of the All-Russia Exhibition Center in Moscow. 641 companies from 35 countries of the world participated in the event. The exhibition was visited by more than 30,000 specialists of ferrous and non-ferrous metals metallurgy, construction industry, machine-building industry, fuel-energy complex, transportation and logistics as well as steel traders.
For its 17-year history Metal-Expo has become the main business field for steel-making companies and users including such leaders of steel industry as Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, Severstal, Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works, Evraz Group, Metalloinvest, Mechel, RT-Metallurgy; large piping manufacturers such as TMK, OMK, CHTPZ; a group of manufacturers: Severstal-Metiz, MMK-Metiz, Beloretsk Iron and Steel Works; leading nonferrous-metals manufacturers: UGMK-Holding, VSMPO-AVISMA, Russian Copper Company, KUMZ; as well as steel manufacturers from the CIS: Metinvest-Holding, Byelorussian Steel Works, Dneprospetsstal, Interpipe, Centravis, NKMZ, Dneprotechservis, etc.; steel and engineering companies from Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland, Austria and other European countries: ArcelorMittal, Outokumpu, Ruukki, Danieli, Vallourec & Mannesmann Tubes, Marcegaglia, SMS Group, RHI, Oto Mills, Vesuvius, PU.MA, Liebherr, Robur, and companies from Southeast Asia including China, South Korea and Japan. More than 200 international companies showed their demonstrations. The most interesting demonstrations were shown by China and Germany.
More than 4,000 specialists and managers of companies worked at their exhibition stands within 4 days of the exhibition. An independent audit company’s data showed that 53% of the visitors of Metal-Expo were decision-makers. This is one of few events in Russia where leaders and managers of companies come as visitors. The event was a good possibility for meeting business partners, finding new sales markets, discussing further cooperation and making agreements for raw materials and equipment as well as purchasing steel products. Representatives of Henan Xibao Group headed by Mr. Xin Guangliang, Director of Representative Office for CIS, participated in the exhibition Metal-Expo 2011 where they presented Henan Xibao Group’s exposition along with all participants of the 17th International Industrial Exhibition.
During the 17th International Industrial Exhibition Metal-Expo 2011 several business meetings and negotiations with the Company’s long-term partners took place; as well as relationships with new potential partners of Henan Xibao Group were established. The representatives of Henan Xibao Group presented new projects and products. They visited demonstrations of other manufacturers, took part in international conferences held during Metal-Expo 2011, shared their opinions and ideas as for ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy and gave an estimate of up-to-date tendencies of metallurgy.
